The hosts (Bangladesh) have lock horns with visitors (West Indies) in the first game of 3-match ODI fixtures. But Meyers and Powell put on 59 run-partnership for the sixth wicket before debutant Hasan Mahmud picked up crucial of Powell to open the floodgates for the hosts to wrapped up the first innings of West Indies at 122 runs in 32.2 overs. Shakib Al Hasan (4) and Hasan Mahmud (3) were the leading wicket-takers for Bangladesh.
In reply, Bangladesh have chase down the target with 6 wickets in hands by the end of 34th over and take 1-0 lead in the series. Tamim Iqbal score 44 runs for Bangladesh while Akeal Hosein picked 3 for 26 runs from West Indies. Shakib Al Hasan was awarded with Man of the match for 4 wickets for 8 runs.
