Brad Hogg – ‘Suresh Raina’ And Indian Cricket, You Will Not See This Alignment Again In Future

Former Chinaman Spinner of Australia Brad Hogg believed it might be the end of Cricketing Journey of Suresh Raina for the Indian Cricket and getting back into the Indian Side is next to Impossible.

Raina has been a most consistent middle-order batsman for the Indian Cricket in the last decade and has been a frontline batsman in many triumphs of Indian Cricket.

Brad Hogg Further added, with the so many fresh young talents like Shreyas Iyer, Risabh Pant, Rahul Tripathi in the middle order from last few years will another factor for Raina to make it difficult to make a comeback.

Even in the last few series players like Shreyas Iyer has turned the tables for himself and put him in the top contender for No.4 position in the team.

Brad Hogg further stated, factor like age will go against Raina in the current scenario as the Indian Captain relies on fresh young talent in the middle order to make the team more balanced– same what Dhoni used to do.

Talking on his YouTube channel, Brad hogg reckoned:
If you look at the Indian batting line-up right now and where Virat Kohli wants to take it, he is looking at youngsters in that middle order and Iyer has done reasonably well at number 4 and that’s where I see Raina batting.

I do not see him batting lower down the order as I see him batting at 3 and 4 and controlling the middle overs. I don’t think there is a role for him in Indian cricket.”

Brad Hogg: Player like Raina was the dependable batsman in the Indian Team

Brad Hogg further added, in future, this alignment of Suresh Raina and Indian Cricket is next to impossible, he also reckoned Raina was the key factor in many triumphs in Indian cricket history. Hogg believed, Raina can it make to the shortest format of the game still expect other forms of cricket in place of Shikhar Dhawan:

“Raina has been a revelation in Indian cricket, one of the better fielders we have seen from India on world stage and a fantastic left-handed batsman there is no doubt about that.

The only way that he will get a chance to play T20 cricket is if they play with Rohit and Rahul and leave Dhawan out. But I really can’t see Raina playing again and its a bit disappointing.”

With T-20 World Cup get postponed to next year it means the most exciting league “IPL” in the world cricket is all set to begin in the third week of September 2020, in UAE.

With one of the consistent batsman for CSK from the Inception, Suresh Raina all set to lift the trophy for Chennai Super Kings for the fifth time and shuts the critics while making it Indian dressing room one more time in his style.
