IPL 2020, DC vs MI – 3 Players Who Flopped | 10 November

There it is finals of the IPL 2020 between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. In the tournament team batting second has often failed to achieve the target but in the finals Mumbai Indians have proved it wrong with their consistency of winning the IPL Finals for the fifth time.

While Delhi Capitals have been into the finals for the first time in the IPL history they have never been to the finals before and with the kind of form they have been through season it looked they will lift the trophy this time around. But they have not played like the finalists in the match against Mumbai Indians with weak bowling and batting with no intent in the game. Having said, let us take a look at the three players who flopped in a match.

Marcus Stoinis (DC)

The big match player has failed to produce the game changing knock in the crucial game of the season. After decided to bat first, Delhi Capitals have opened the innings with Marcus Stoinis which was another surprise from Delhi at this point of the tournament. Without scoring Stoinis went back into the pavilion on the first ball of the match before getting out on the Trent Boult ball.

During the season many knocks has been played by Marcus Stoinis to win games for his team. But again at the deciding moment he has failed and left in side into the depth of trouble with no score on the scoreboard.

Shikhar Dhawan (DC)

Another big match player who has failed to deliver upto his standards just before this Dhawan has produced match winning knock against Sun risers Hyderabad. It was expected from him to provide the good start to the team but he only managed to score 15 runs before getting clean bowled on the delivery of Jayant Yadav.

If your opener has failed the pressure is double on the team in the finals and Delhi Capitals has only managed to scored 156 runs with the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Another reason Delhi Capitals have lost the finals against Mumbai Indians.

Another match winner who went wicket less in the crucial game of the tournament. Although the target was not that small but it was fighting one against Mumbai Indians. Delhi Capitals have expected from his strike bowler to provide early breakthroughs but he has failed to do so and there it is Mumbai Indians has chase down the target with 5 wickets.

The winning ratio of the team is high when Ashwin take wickets but it is complete opposite if he has unable to take wickets and there is no other spinner who could restricted the Mumbai Indians under the low score. The news of 2021 is out already and hope Delhi Capitals is coming with more balance side to lift the trophy next time.
