IPL 2020, MI vs RR – 3 things that went wrong for RR

Game 20, Mumbai Indians (MI) went against Rajasthan royals (RR) at Abu Dhabi Cricket Stadium. Both teams were looking to win this game to get two points. The early prediction was tough as both teams have boosted up with quality players.

But defending champions Mumbai Indians completely outperformed Rajasthan royals in a high scoring match and clinched the victory by 57 runs. Let us see 3 things that went for Rajasthan royals.

Mumbai Indians Decision to bat first

So far in the tournament team batting second failed to achieve the target most of the times. Mumbai Indians after winning the toss decided to bat first and got off to a great start but there comes a mini-collapse from 88/1 to 117/4 by the end of 14 overs.

But Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya put on 76 run for the fifth wicket to take the scoreboard to 193 run with the loss of 4 wickets in the 20 overs. Surya Kumar Yadav was leading run scorer from Mumbai Indians who scored 79 runs.

Rajasthan royals Absurd Collapse or no intent for chase

Chasing 197 with dew factor not always worked out for the team. Rajasthan royals needs the solid start but they have crumbled and reduced to 42/4 include Steve Smith and Sanju Samson wicket. But Jos Buttler kept one end and played 44 ball-70 run knock which featured 4 fours and 5 sixes.

Once Buttler departs at the score of 98/5 no other player provide any sort of resistance to team score and all out at 136 before their qouta of 20 overs which clearly depicts no intent was shown by player for the run-chase.

Rajasthan royals not playing with Best XI

Again another team is experimented too much with team line-up makes it successful. Player like David Miller, Andrew Tye and Manan Vohra are on the bench – Rajasthan royals there is no point to make such players insecure.

Keeping such players remains on the bench while make team depend on the top order will always take team in the trouble. Few more experiments and ticket to playoffs will be in illusion.
