Orange cap stands for batting powerhouse in the Indian premier league. The first ever orange cap won by Shaun Marsh in the Inaugural season of IPL. Here are some rules of orange cap.
It is given to the player with maximum runs in a season.
The player has to wear the orange cap during the course of the tournament.
If other player has same amount of runs then player with better strike rate would be given cap title.
If in a match the other batsman cross the mark of runs from Orange cap holder the other has to wait for the innings end to get that title cap.
