The 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was planned to start on March 29 which was delayed earlier to April 15. Although, this lockdown could reportedly be moved ahead in light of the serious covid-19 problem. Although there still a possibility of the season being terminated which should affect the many things like GDP, the hope of an exciting league remains the perception.

The 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is turning out to be dim every day, as the cases of Covid-19 people is rapidly increasing in India and every state are taking strict initiatives to control the concern and to stop it the spreading across the country like in USA or China.


The officially BCCI unit on Friday terminated the 13th season of the IPL till April 15th. Earlier, the IPL was to be played between March 29 to May 24, 2020.

“Fans like me are in the wait-and-watch mode,”. It has been turning out to be a serious situation where thoughts cannot be taken in quick times. One can only hope and predict have a time, which can change.

Although the BCCI Unit has put several options on the table, which includes shortened the idea of the IPL panel board said they would have to be all set with any plans. For example, if the IPL can be held in 38 days but that may change its viewership cost.

Also, dates are not confirmed until what date it can be started is also an equation as it would be impossible to hold matches during the rainy season, which will begin in June. In other situations, there is an idea where IPL can be played in a 44 games or even smaller match schedule. There is also an idea to start it in September and postpone the Asia Cup.
