Umesh Yadav will swap expert paceman Jasprit Bumrah for the three up and coming Tests against South Africa. Bumrah was controlled out of the arrangement with a minor pressure break in his lower back.
Bumrah, who was refreshed from the T20I arrangement that the different sides drew 1-1, had his damage recognized during a routine radiological screening.
“He will presently experience recovery at NCA and will be observed by the BCCI Medical Team,” the board expressed in a discharge on Tuesday (September 24).
Umesh, who hadn’t been picked in the underlying squad, last played a Test in Perth 2018 when India visited Australia, packing two wickets in the primary innings.
He, notwithstanding, stayed wicketless in the second. In 41 Tests up until now, Umesh has 119 wickets, averaging 33.47.
The first of three Tests commences on October 2 in Vizag, trailed by Tests in Pune and Ranchi.
